The word that my group chose to convey in this one word short film was anxiety and the story behind this was following me (the main character) in a regular day in school battling the struggles of anxiety. The first scenario of my life is me struggling with the anxiety of having telling a boy that I have feelings for him. We start off with an over the shoulder shot of me seemingly having a hard explaining to Kennedy that I have feelings for the boy you can see in the background. The next few shots are helping explain the anxiety I have to confess my feelings to Gerald and you can see me whispering into Kennedy's ear the issue I am having. There is a medium shot of me whispering into Kennedy's ears which helps show that we are the two main characters in this scene. Shortly after the camera pans to the boy to further explain the correlation he has to the story. The next shot is of the boy over the shoulder and you can now see clearly me and Kennedy's bodies in the frame and this open framed shot allows for the audience to believe that it is a normal film until it shortly after cuts to Kennedy pushing me into the boy I had secret feelings for. The next medium shot is a bit more closed in on my facial expressions which helps the audience now realizes that I am in a sort of distress because of my anxiety overcoming my feelings.
The next medium-wide shot is of me turning away from the boy in quick and anxious manner. We then cut to a POV shot of the camera franticly speeding down the hallway rushing into a trash can. This shot in specific allows for the audience to see my anxiety driven perspective and gives them a better understanding of the story so far. The next wide shot is perfectly framed to show a good shot of our setting then shows me running into a trash can where I proceed to throw up. The audience can now understand that I was driven purely out of anxiety which led to me vomiting. The next shot is an over the shoulder shot of me getting handed a paper that says F. This then cuts to a medium shot of me looking extremely overwhelmed and fearful for what grade I just got. The next shot is extreme close up shot of my eyes looking back and forth and pacing with anxiety. This allows for the audience to feel the anxiety that is being portrayed through my eyes.
The next shot is a closed frame close up shot of my hands shaking in fear. The next scenario is of two people fighting with one another and they are arguing with one another until the camera pans over to me and shows my torso up and you can see in this shot my anxiety with the whole situation. The next shot is a close up shot of only my chest and it's me breathing extremely fast and rapidly. The next scenario is of me running into the school bathroom and we see multiple angles of me running quickly inside one of the stalls. The final shot is of me sitting down on a toilet and my whole body at this point out is shaking terribly out of anxiety and that is the end of movie. All the scenario portrayed in this film allow for the audience to clearly analyze the anxiety that is shown throughout the entire movie.
